Register of Guests
In accordance with the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972, a hotel must keep each guest’s details for at least 12 months and have the register available for inspection by a police officer or duly authorised person at all times.
Pricing and Charging
Under the The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, s.14, the Time limit for prosecution is: (a)the end of the period of three years beginning with the date of the commission of the offence, or (b)the end of the period of one year beginning with the date of discovery of the offence by the prosecutor, whichever is earlier. Records should probably be kept for at least this period.
Gas safety check records
You have to keep records for at least two years. For more information see regulation 36(3)(c) of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998
